I've heard here before that klingspor makes pre-cut sanding belts for drum sanders. I've been searching but can only find bulk rolls, not precut lengths. I'm specifically looking for rolls for a Delta 18-36...any tips?

Ed,
I don't know about Klingspor precut strips, but I've been using these https://woodworker.com/80-grit-readywra ... 32-587.asp
The Zirconia seems to last really well, much better than the aluminum Oxide in my experience.

Try this, the blue zirconia definitely works better, but doesn’t seem to be available in precut.

On that subject, do they make Zirconia sandpapers to fit Robo Sander drums? The paper doesn't last long and I have to switch them every 2 hour of use because they get loaded up especially if I sand an oily wood like EIRW.

The link I posted above is precut. They have it for many different sanders.

I’ve been buying precut rolls for the Delta 18-36 drum sander for some time. I just got a reorder last year. I had to poke around on the site a bit to find them. The Kingspor website did not go right to them. Searching for Delta 18 36 gets me this: https://www.woodworkingshop.com/product/dt31818/
They also have the feeder belt.

I don't understand why you would buy pre-cut belts when you can buy rolls so much cheaper. All you need is a used pre-cut one for a template and a few minutes time. I buy 3" X 50 yard rolls at https://www.supergrit.com/products/prod ... eeve-cloth for around $50.

The bulk rolls I buy have different colored stripes on the back of the abrasive that let me know where to cut for my specific sander. It's very handy.

Exactly. I used to buy the unmarked rolls from Klingspor. Real pain (u had to keep a template). Then they came out with the marked rolls. Just find the color line that corresponds to ur sander, cut, and go. Complete swap takes 5 minutes.

Way cheaper than precut

For me the premarked are the only way to go. I don’t believe these are available for all applications though.

I bought the pre cut rolls from Klingspor. They came in a Jet box. So buying pre cut from them is the same product you get anywhere else.

Currently I buy from Fintech, 2"x 50 yards for just under 20$. However, I'm playing broken telephone with the templates, the copy of the copy of the copy is getting hinky so I thought a fresh example would be useful to me.
