Hi finally got around to finishing off the latest 000 guitar. Lacewood back, sides backstrap and heal cap. Front Alpine spruce, fingerboard bridge and headplate are bog oak. Wilkinson open back black machine heads. inlay all hand cut in mother of pearl and abalone shell. Soundhole ring was laser cut by a friend. Arm bevel, scoop cutaway and sound port. Couple of pics are sideways but cannot see how to correct as they are ok on my PC.

Nice Celtic theme Bob!
The Dragon inlay is amazing...
I like the execution of the beveled armrest - very understated and elegant.
Pretty cool rosette too.
Thanks for posting!

Thank you Hesh that means a lot to me coming from you. I couldn't have done it without all the help I got from your posts, particularly set up and neck angle. Thanks again. Bob

Stunning inlays

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.
