if you look at the picture you can see two of the 4 screw holes for the top back cover....
John Mayes: Still don't see'em! I only see instant flying death! That's why I asked! I trust you they're there!

I wanted to say, I really liked the red vinyl, did you build the box and cover it? It looks very cool and professional!

I've been always fascinated with building amps, but, I'm almost totally retarded when it come to electicity. I've built some small solid state op-amp type things years ago, but nothing with some pretty blue lights in it!

I had a place named Reason Cabs custom build the box for me to my
dimensions, and coverings/grille clothe.

and here is the pic of the back with the screw holes arrowed for your
understanding.

Duh! Now I see it! I must be worse at electronics than what, even I, thought! If you don't mind how much did they charge you for this bad boy! Did you build a master volume into it? Was it over driven much? What did you use it for!

Thanks for going through the trouble John!

Hi Billy

I hope I'm not stepping on John's toes, but he built an 18 watt Marshall.
It has a volume and tone control with no master. The cabinet prices are
on the website he linked to.

that's it. JAmes is right it's a clone of a 18 watt Marshall, but the tremolo
circuit stripped (but still ran through the tone circut). The two Knobs one
Volume and One Tone. You could overdrive it nicely, and it was huge
sounding. It had 2 12's (Weber Blue Dog, and Weber Silver Bell that
sounded awesome together).

the cab was $300 give or take....

I built it from this guys website:

If it has anything like the Marshall stack sound you bet! I'm not familiar with the 18 watt'ers at all. I only saw the 2 knobs, so I figured, no master, but I thought I should ask anyway!

For me, there is only one speaker - Celestion, no offence. I put a 10" in a worked-over Fender Champ and Mr. Celestion made it scream!

I've always been a fan of tiny amps, in the studio they crank! For stage, it's a slant on top of a flat stack, of course, but not in the studio.

Speaker choice is very important, and I have no problem with someone
prefering celestion. There are a lot of models though. I'm going with the
Weber bluedog as well, because it's voiced for what I'm after. Same price
as a celestion G12.

You should buzz around the silvatone site a little bit today. One thing
about stacks is that they sound like stacks because they're moving so
much volume through 8 12" speakers. That's a LOT of compression and
air. Small amps hit the sweet spot a lot sooner. One thing about the 18
watt is that yeah, there's no master. So you have to get it to actual
volume in order to get that sweet spot. I'm not sure how to build a
master in. My Lightning has one, but I can't explain it.

Thanks James! I czeched it out last night! I'm building!! Very nice sounding! Close enough to the Marshall sound to get the cigar!
I'm going with the Weber bluedog
You know, one of the best sounds I've heard was a Mesa/Boogie with half Celestion, half Black Widow Combo in a full stack! It was Outstanding!

I think "mix and match" is a good thing! The celestion is a very midrangey speaker, combined with something that handles bottom end well, this makes for a very nice sound!

Man! This gives me a reason to put my old Kramer together!!
