I use a straight 16 on my 6-strings. What do you guys use on your 12-strings? Is there a standard radius that factories use?

12 to 20 compound. which makes 16 at the 12th fret. They've played very well. Pwoolson39065.4169675926

Thanks guys,

I only have a 16 radius block so I will probably give that a try. I'm curious to know what the factories are using. I will have to do a little more research.

Josh, i think 16" is the most common even for 12 strings...

Hi Josh,
I'm building a twelve as well. I've decided on 20" because of the neck width .

Regards Craig

martin guild and taylor all use 16" on current offerings.

many older martins were compound 16-20"ish. i have also seen a few old 12's with a flat board. barre chords were not being played much on 12's then i guess.
