Well, I never heard the word pogrom until today.  I immediately looked it up in Wikipedia and was appalled.  Michael Propsom I think you owe Hesh an apology, whatever your intent.  When I saw the word, I interpreted it PROGRAM and it made sense.

Then I got an email addressed to many prominent OLFers from Hesh revealing the true meaning of the veiled word.  Hesh stand your ground, you sir are correct.

When it gets right down to it, we are all guilty of hatred toward certain groups.  I want to apologize to my OLF friends to whom I forwarded a joke photo this week.  I kept it out of the threads because it might offend a group or couple groups of people.  So I apologize and realize, my guilt is similar to the use of this hateful word.

I appreciate the instant Archiving of the thread "People Leave Here".  Archiving stuff doesn't make it go away.  Ostrich with head in sand.  These things must be dealt with and openly.  Locking the thread is okay, but archiving it is just sending the splinter deeper into the wound.

All my life, I've been for the underdog in a fight.  All my life, I've looked out for the little guy.  And All my life, I've wanted to leave in peace with others.

When I was in business law class on axiom the wise teacher passed on to us was "Don't over-react."  Hesh, well buddy, maybe you are just a little touchy on this subject.  Yes is was veiled and not understood at all by the naive, myself included.  But you kind of went over the top and we understand the issues now.  A little teflon for your psyche would go a long way here.

Hesh, you are my friend and I'm not ashamed to say that.  Tomorrow one of my 'real-life' buds is driving all the way from Mississippi to be with me until his outage starts.  He lives in Ecuador having moved away under duress over five years ago.  I'm looking forward to his getting to come.  We are going fishing.  If he hadn't over-reacted he would never have left town to start with.

So if Michael is man enough to apologize to you, you should be man enough to apologize for over-reacting.

Now for a little math, 70 x 7...

I hope we learn to act like mature adults. Most people that post will at times offend someone. I take it often that it is unintentional and an accident.
For those I ever offended , I never intented that. I consider most people here friends and hope they the same of me.
The advice offered here is worth what you paid for it. with that said I hope we get back to bis as usual .

I think Bob C had a great thread, but we've yet to hear from highdrawlicks, Mr. Michael Propsom, yacht carpenter.

Just outside our city is a park, it was renamed Cephas Wasburn Park, a missionary to the native American Indians who lived along the Illionois Bayou.  In attendance that day was a man from Oklahoma, Chief Garland Eagle, a Cherokee.  He was there representing native American peoples and to receive an apology long overdue.

It was one of the most moving things I'd ever witnessed, and the Indian families that attended were so thrilled that an apology came from their now, white brothers.

While taking my son west to Colorado recently we drove through a small town in Eastern Oklahoma.  The name Dwight Mission.  The same name as the Mission to the Indians here in Russellville back in 1835 when the trail of tears began.

The missionaries went west too, they were there to bless the native American even during and after their forced evacuation to Indian Territory.  The apology came, years late, but embraced with the love it was given.  It was a beautiful thing.  So, whether Michael comes along or not, we need to hold open a place for him at the OLF table.

JB-
The phrase "Not all who wander are lost" was penned and made famous by J.R.R. Tolkien, of "Lord of the Rings" fame. The wood in Chris T.'s mandolin was likely still growing when these words were written.

I hope you are not offended by this correction.

Nope, not offended at all.  I just read it on an album cover.  Those kids can make some music.  My apologies to Mr. Tolkein.  Shucks, we all make mistakes it seems.

See ya'll tomorrow, I'm heading down to my shop.
