Well, I never heard the word pogrom until today. I immediately looked it up in Wikipedia and was appalled. Michael Propsom I think you owe Hesh an apology, whatever your intent. When I saw the word, I interpreted it PROGRAM and it made sense.
Then I got an email addressed to many prominent OLFers from Hesh revealing the true meaning of the veiled word. Hesh stand your ground, you sir are correct.
When it gets right down to it, we are all guilty of hatred toward certain groups. I want to apologize to my OLF friends to whom I forwarded a joke photo this week. I kept it out of the threads because it might offend a group or couple groups of people. So I apologize and realize, my guilt is similar to the use of this hateful word.
I appreciate the instant Archiving of the thread "People Leave Here". Archiving stuff doesn't make it go away. Ostrich with head in sand. These things must be dealt with and openly. Locking the thread is okay, but archiving it is just sending the splinter deeper into the wound.
All my life, I've been for the underdog in a fight. All my life, I've looked out for the little guy. And All my life, I've wanted to leave in peace with others.
When I was in business law class on axiom the wise teacher passed on to us was "Don't over-react." Hesh, well buddy, maybe you are just a little touchy on this subject. Yes is was veiled and not understood at all by the naive, myself included. But you kind of went over the top and we understand the issues now. A little teflon for your psyche would go a long way here.
Hesh, you are my friend and I'm not ashamed to say that. Tomorrow one of my 'real-life' buds is driving all the way from Mississippi to be with me until his outage starts. He lives in Ecuador having moved away under duress over five years ago. I'm looking forward to his getting to come. We are going fishing. If he hadn't over-reacted he would never have left town to start with.
So if Michael is man enough to apologize to you, you should be man enough to apologize for over-reacting.
Now for a little math, 70 x 7...
