Thanks everyone for the comments. Serge, this was a unserviced kit so it was just a box of raw lumber. It was from scratch as far as I can tell. Paul, you're right, I'm already thinking about #2. From reading the posts,I can pick up tops,backs and sides, but I'm not sure about things like spalted wood for the rosette or bridge plates,things like that. I would also like to laminate my next neck and come up with a way of hiding the scarf joint on the back of the head stock. Again everyone, thank you! Clinton
