Here you go Michael.

It still needs fretting and setup and a pickup fitting.

Michael

the round of applase belongs to You,Colin S and the OLF Members for your help and tips, so I could get my french polishing up to speed. I had tried many times before and not been happy with the results. I've now done 6 FP Finishes I'm really proud of.

My Hats off to you

Next time try the drop of water with the Soldering gun. I was taught this years ago in furniture restoration and you rarely need to touch up the finish. Glad it worked out for you though.

Thanks Richard

I will give you method a try, the only reason I didn't on this occasion is I don't posses a soldering gun.

Obviyously what you did worked. When I was first taught this other Method the Old Guy who showed me just heated a nail up with a Lighter (nail was held in Pliers. The important thing it to just touch the water not the top. Hopefully you will never have to try it.
