One of the reasons I think it went as quick as it did, inlaying anyway is the way I channeled the rosette. by stepping the channels vs. one single channel depth I was able to inlay the koa first, the inner and outer purfling rings second and then come back and inlay the abalone with out the use of Teflon spacers to hold position while the Koa and purfling rings set up

Yes it does have a very thin wash coat of Zpoxy on the back and sides and shellac on the topMichaelP38932.5147222222

Michael -- great diagram and clever way to do it!

But...for all the work with this guitar I would have thought that you would have used a quartered top
