I built my first guitar in 1976, second in 1986....
Married? a couple times.
Kids? a few.
I fly satellites to pay the rent and make guitars cause I can't stop. Oh and I'm trying to help fund BobC's retirement if he ever does.

Okay, I give up. I'm in Texas, and I can't figure out what a "REK" is. Is this something I should know about?

Best,

Michael

Hi Michael,

REK is Robert Earl Keen, a Texas Troubador of the highest magnitude.

Party Chief for the DoT by day (and the occasionaly night)

Slowly setting up shop as money and space allow. Got a bench built, so I'm moving in the right direction. The only power tool I have that functions at the moment is a drill press. But I have plans for a drum sander and a binding jig and most of the material to build them. Now if I could just clear out all of the boxes from moving in, things would move a little faster.

Nak-a-doe-shish I know [/QUOTE]

Tub-o-lard to Michael!!

Actually, if you lived here, you would eventually say:
Nak-a-doe-chis. Not that the last syllable is accented, I'm only trying to highlight the subtle difference. One would say Nak-a-DOE-chis.

Now--take a stab at Natchitoches.

If you lived there, you'd say Nak-uh-tish.

Armed with these two pronunciations, you will surely be the life of the next party!

Steve
