Well I had everything set to go just had to install the blade. I put the blade on and tensioned it. While rotating the upper flywheel by hand I noticed some resistance on the blade passing thru the upper guides at one spot. Well it turns out that the RE-SAW KING blade has a kink in it and one tooth is bent. I called Laguna and they are going to replace the blade plus they gave me a good discount on the purchase of an addtional blade. So far customer support is excellant. Only problem is that I have to wait for the new blade before I can try out re-sawing some more zoot.

It's always a good thing to check your new and reg. equipment before running. Sorry to here of your blade problem but at least your being compensated for it. I sure don't like bandsaw blades that bent or welded crooked. I hope your new blades come soon and you can get down to business of cutting that addicting stuff called zoot. How's your Brother doing? Good I hope?
Keep us futher posted on the new machine. Have a good night.

Not to worry Bob, our Zoot Lust will still be here. Glad to hear they have good customer service. Never like to use it on a new tool but comforting to know its there.Don A38439.9580555556

Well at first I thought it was the weld but as I rotated the flywheel by hand I could clearly see the kink in the blade just below the weld. Might have been caused by whatever clamping jig is used to hold the blade for welding. In any event Laguna was very helpful and sympathetic to my desire to cut some zoot. New blade should be here by Fri. and I can give this saw a whirl.
