Bob Cefalu - if you are lurking around, I bought this from you some time ago and lovely wood but I'll be darn if I know what it is. I applied some mineral spirits to bring out the color and grain.

I dont this so. Thought it was some wild Mahogany. I am sure it is not Cherry though.

Rich -- I've heard that Sapele doesn't make very good sounding guitars -- best you just send it to me
