Russell, I've got two more sets!

I wondered if that was the mad rose bindings, it seems fair as I'm using the London Plane bindings that you sent me!

You really have the got the art of purfling down haven't you, I've got to give that a go, I think I may use satinwood and walnut, what do you think?

Colin

Looks great Russel!
That walnut is really gonna look rich under finish.
Mmmm, rich like chocolate!
Colin, I hate to rain on the parade, but I`m in the process of a walnut body with cherry neck, too.

Thank you very much everyone, your comments are very much appreciatted.

Johno

Nice bass, purhaps an Ice cream guitar would be perfect for your band

Colin

Satin Wood and Walnut is perfect for Purflings, but in keeping with your Native wood theme, how about Brown Oak Bindings, London Plane and Walnut Purfling, I can let you have some more plane if you need it, the only prob then is finding the Oak.

[QUOTE=RussellR] Just thought I'd share pics of one in progress, don't know why but it reminds me of ice cream every time I look at it.

Russell,

That would make you Mr Whippy then

Class work as always and lovely wood combination. Let me know what you think of the Lutz sound. I'm really enjoying it.

Russel,

Man that looks awesome, it looks like you just grew that wood into the guitar shape. Your back curves seem to marry the sweet bend in the grain of the walnut. I can't wait to see it finished!

Shane
