I recently got some very nice African Blackwood for an upcoming commission and am on the hunt now for some nice Cocobolo for a few pieces that I'm ready to start on as well.

If any of our OLF sponsors have some Cocobolo, I'd love to buy from them first. If not, maybe someone will point me toward someone who is OLF friendly.

Thanks in advance,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars

Sponsors first of course. Some of the best cocobolo that I have found came from the local woodcraft store.

Steve at Colonial might have it - I got a nice coco headplate from him.
His website is down at the moment.

Kevin,

If our sponsors don't have something that suits your needs you might try these folks. http://www.cocoboloinc.com/
I bought some very nice cocobolo from them a couple of years ago at decent prices.

Check out www.hibdonhardwood.com , the OLF's newest sponsor. Lots of sets posted on the site, and hundreds more in inventory.
