Hello.... I'm looking for some Maple which I can't seem to find... any ideas? Any of the OLF Sponsors??

1. I need a piece 3" X 15" X 20". It would be fine if this was 2 pieces out
of the same board 3" X 8" X 20"... it is fine if there are some defects in
this piece(s). This would preferably be a flat sawn piece, but anything
really is fine.

2. I need another piece of maple1.5" X 8" X 20". I would like this to be
master grade flame, no defects with the flame running right through the
1.5" evenly, with excellent quarter.

Cheers,

Richard

I would suggest that you talk to Steve @ Colonial Tonewoods. I recently got a very nice set of maple from Steve and I'm pretty sure he would at least have the flamed stuff you are looking for.

Gibson345 -- Grizzly won't sell and ship to Canada.

Another sponsor source to check is BobC RCtonewoods and AC Woods.

I would imagine most of the OLF sponsors that sell wood have maple. I have gotten some really nice big leaf from Larry Davis. Also check with Old Standard and Orcas Island Tonewoods.

Richard, Looks like you are from Canada. Check out Exotic woods Inc Here or Sam at guitarwood.ca or A&M Woods Depending on where you are in Canada, you may be able to get great maple at your Local Lumber store. but the above suppliers will all ship

richard,
the guys in the states sell some great stuff. no doubt about it. but just so you know, we've got a canadian outfit on vancouver island that is also a olf sponsor.
check out the AC Woods link above. if you look under 'products,' you'll even see a separate catagory for 'maple electric guitars' with pictures of some gorgous stuff. ed and jean are great and the shipping is faster and cheaper.
from everything i see and read on this forum, though, it seems you can't go wrong with any of our sponsors.

If none of the sponsors can help you out, try bowrivercraftwoods.com   They are in Chilliwack, Near Vancouver BC. (western bigleaf only)
