That is absolutely fantastic. Everything on that guitar is special. I am absolutely blown away. Did I mention that I like it. Sir, you are an artist of the highest caliber.

Also, Michael, you could put a neck on that shorter drum and make a great bass banjo.

The skins on both of those are from the only bull elk I ever dropped. I had a Ute friend of mine help me tan and streach them, back when I lived in Durango Colo. I carved the tall Aspen drum body and Fred (White Cheeks) carved the short Pinion body.

Stunning instrument Michael, in choice of materials and in the details. I especially like the snakewood bindings and the binding detail on the fretboard. Very well executed!

Absolutely beautiful! I too love the rosette, looks very time consuming
and labor intensive. What, if anything, does narra compare too as a
tonewood?

Yes, "Wow" is right! Looks great Michael. I too like the snakewood bindings.

Tell us how it sounds!

Beautiful work!! The Narra segments in the rosette seems to "float" in the
Abalone. Stunning!!

Has anyone used the word "wow!" yet? Oh they have... well, how about "stunning!" Oh, that's been used too...

A knockout, Michael!

Is this nitro? I got a set of that killer 3-D Narra from Bob as well, and I'm hoping you used a waterborne (like KTM-9) so I might have a chance to achieve a finish like yours.

You know...I tend to go for more of an understated look.

But man, your rosette is killer. That is one rich and classy looking guitar.
Very well done.

This is the most piano like guitar I have ever built.
The over all tone is much like Koa but a bit brighter on the high end. sustain is darn near infinite

I think the best comparison is Koa but with brighter treble

This is KTM9 on the body and Belhen's Rockhard varnish on the neck

Actually the rosette is Koa. A memento from a back and side set for this client that went bad.
