I think you missed the point, I think it's a GREAT idea. Mix all kinds of woods for scent of the wood.

Kind of a "Sniffitar®". (patent pending)
Billy, make a plywood guitar and put some pot pouri in the soundhole.
Ron, have you smelled that stuff? I think I'd rather smell a guitarlet! Yea! and a dreadnaught at that!
I love the BC effect visually on a guitar. but when thinking about tops stiffness is what turns me on. backs and sides on the other hand play a lesser role in the overall response of the guitar so if asked by a client is it best to have a high figure top with high figure back and sides or a tight grain stiff top with high figure back and sides I would go with the later. The longer I build the more I lean toward distinctive but elegant not gaudy tonewood schemes For example the Narra/Carp I posted is my idea elegant flash. a BC D-45 with some high figure back and sides would be gaudy. you can use extreme rem zoot and still keep it elegant, not flashyMichaelP39020.6746412037
Associate the guitars to an image or lifestyle if you're selling them.
America is so consumer-driven that this is almost a sure-fire way to get
noticed.
At least until everyone does it.
