I'm considering stocking a bigger variety of kerfed linings and would like some input as to what I should carry.
TIA

Spanish cedar smells soooo nice, either the triangular or reverse kert would be great, although I voted for the triangular, than traditional look.

Great consideration Bob

Yep, can't beat the smell of that cedar... Someone should bottle that stuff... 'Eau de Luthier'

I now use reverse kerfing exclusively. It's so much easier to put little clamps on those...

i had used mahogany triangular for 30 odd years for no other reason than it was what i learned to build with and inertia.

but then i tried the reverse spanish cedar last year and won't be going back. i also considered trying the mahogany reverse kerf, but realized that the greater rigidity imparted by using the reverse kerf obviates the need to use the heavier mahogany material. and it does smell good; not as good as brazian rw, but very good indeed.

I have used the reversed cedar exclusively until trying Paul Woolson's/Fox's 2-piece rigid liners. They are great and am considering going that way exclusively. The only problem...they are not available commercially.

If there happened to be enough interest, and you were willing to make these up, I'd be your first customer. Otherwise, I may be jigging up to make a batch of my own in spite of Paul's warning that they're a PITA to make! It can only imrove my woodworking skills!...Yeah...that's the ticket Stay tuned...if the pain is too severe, I will be ordering the Cedar Reversed Linings.

Bob...I sure like your approach to providing more new products and services. I have a feeling that you'll eventually have a "Zootman Payroll Withdrawal" category on paychecks

Bob,
I love the spanish cedar reverse. I use it on everything. I even used it on my current mandolin, and even my ukuleles. I just cut the size down a little.

I love the smell and the way it stiffens the sides. Keep up the good work!
Tracy

I voted for reverse Mahogany, but would switch to reverse Spanish cedar if they were available!

I voted for regular triangle ceder. I used that on my last two and liked it alot. I've never tried reversed kerf because I figured that pre-bending them was an extra step and hassle.

So far I've only used regular flat top triangular mahogany. Don't see any reason to change.

Reverse kerf linings lay flat so are easy to clamp.
