I had the surgery yesterday at 2. They stuck the nails into my broken thigh
bone, locked them down with a few screws, slopped some HHG around ,
and sewed me up. The anesthesia is great. I just sort drifted away and, it
seemed like 5 minutes later, drifted back, except it really took about an hour
and a half, with recovery. It went way better than expected, so I had
breakfast this morning, got rid of the IV and walked to the bathroom (under
medical supervision, of course). This afternoon the physical therapist had
me practice on stairs. I'm stoked! I feel like I won the Lottery! I'm ready to go
home, and I don't know if my doc is going to go for it, but I'll have to be
back here for the second phase on Tuesday. Just wanted to let you all know,
and to give thanks for the thoughts, prayers, and encouragement. Thanks,
everyone!

Happy everything went well.
The reconstructive thereapy will be difficult but will
be helpful.
I hope all goes well and you come out of this OK!!

and building guitars again soon.
If there is anything I can do for you don't hesitate to ask. Thant's what friends are for.

Hesh, my friend it could not have gone better. I didn't get munchies, but I did get cottonmouth! Good thing is that while I'm off work, I can sit comfortably on a stool in the shop and build. BWHAHAHAHAH!

Walter, thank you for the generous offer!

Ron, Lilian, thank you. It really is wonderful news.

Can we agree that surgery brings additional meaning on a personal level to " Measure twice, cut once?" Great news on the success of your procedure. Prayers. MT

Thanks again, the lot of ye.

I've been ready to go home since the day after the surgery, so I'm getting really antsy. I've done the equivalent of walking around the block twice today so I feel good enough to go home. Being that they disturbed some bone marrow when driving these naile into it, they're concerned about clots. So here I sit. What a relief that they have wi-fi here, though it would appear I'm on fertile ground for ZAS!
