After working it out once to go to Dana Bourgeois/Pantheon this pass fall, I had to cancel due to extreme illness with my dad. Well he has recovered to a point and has extremely good care now, I thought would call and see if an oppurtunity would still exsist. I feel very blessed and excited that around the first of the month I am going to Lewiston Maine to pursue that. My wife and I had decided a couple of weeks ago to sell our home, and it sold within a very short time at exactlly what we had hoped for, but way things go lucky ever get exact price want. One thing going is Bartlesville was name the 5th best city in U.S. by relocate USA to live. Where Dave Rector lives in Edmond about 110 miles from here was 4th. They also beat us in the state basketball championship (6A highest leauge class)by I think a couple of points in last few seconds of game. Anyway excited about getting to work for Dana and learn from him and other luthiers in his shop. I know in time I will really be at a much better level in all aspects. When time is over, and to move I will return here maybe, but thinking of opening shop in the Branson Mo area, which is only a couple of hours away. I hope and am going to make trips when in New England area to some of the many friends and supporter's I have met here. Will still be a Bronco's fan and have to buy satillite to watch them though. I do like the Red Socks though, but still a SF Giants fan big time. I do want to thank all of you who over last year (longer than that probably) who have supported me and my efforts and encouraged me along the way. That has kept me going in this work, and wanting to move to a higher level for the folks I serve. For me this is what it is about service and along way maybe can make a few bucks. This oppurtunity with Dana will sure help me with the vet and kids project. I will still be active as possible here and going to do the showcase. The folks I serve are still going to be my priority. I know maybe a religous thing here and don't want to offend others, but this is what God has led me to do, and that is that. It didn't work in my time, but in his and his is what counts. Do it my way, I always seem to get messed up. His way and time, it always goes right. If I do what led to do, the ability to sell and make up the cost of the other and maybe some extra will come. Thanks all and God bless all of you and your works

Congratulations Stan and best of luck in following your dream.

The nice thing about when an OLFer moves is that we on the forum don't feel a sense of loss ...unless you choose not to keep posting. I'm looking forward to hearing about your new experiences.

Best wishes!!!

I'm proud of you Stan. Not an easy move/decision to make. But
you've followed your heart and God's desires and I think it will all
work out great. Be a sponge and soak up everything you possibably
can. Also ask Dana if you can bring a digital camera. Take lots of pics
around the shop of various jigs and setups. It's pretty easy to forget
how they did "fill in the blank" but with pics it comes right back.
Good luck. Paul

Tracy. When done, I am thinking time to go home. Being from the west slope and then all my years in Denver, get homesick, particularly in June-mid Sept. I think Aurora has changed, well from talking to old partner it has and not to the better. Don't miss Colfax to much. Glenwood, Grand Jct, Montrose, places thinking of. Even after this, I will look at doing things like Robbie's class at the Red Rocks. When I can't learn, is day the shop door closes and tools sold, may that never happen

Stan - thats just great news! I'm glad your father is doing well and your getting a chance to do what your being led to do -- God does work in wondrous ways, and apparently he wants your hands to do some of that work for him --

Congrats ! Could not have happened to a better man --
