Today I visited Hibdon Hardwoods in St. Louis. What a great place.
It was packed. Apparently they have a 2 day sale once a year the Fri and
Sat after Thanksgiving. The building is an old warehouse built in 1902. I
looked around and saw tons of wood, but no guitar sets. I asked one of
the reps and he stated that he had to take me upstairs.

Wow....An entire level of the warehouse all with guitar sets. Apparently
they sell to individuals as well as Gibson, Taylor, Martin, LMI, Stew Mac
among others. The sale was 10% off everything.   The only rack I couldn't
look throught was a rack labeled "website" That is what you see on their
site, but it is only a very small percentage of what they have.

I ended up with a set of fiddleback Mahog, a set of Beeswing Mahog, a set
of Ziricote and a set of Granadlillo. The granadillo that they were placing
on special for us is nice stuff. We will see what kind of guitar it will make.
My set was only $34. No picts, it is all being shipped to San Diego.

A great place and well worth the visit if you are ever in St. Louis

Wow, that's a lot of self control Andy! I for one applaud your restraint at not buying up half the place!!!

Your WAS must have been in very high gear!!!Alain Desforges39046.5785416667
