I had the pleasure of sitting in on a couple of Mr. Somogyi's classes at the ASIA Symposium. He's a brilliant man, with a great dry sense of humour. Beyond that, he has a natural ability to educate.

I bought one of the bumper stickers he sells...

Welcome Ervin,

So very good to have you among us, a very fine group just got that much better

Thank goodness for the Internet and the OLF, without these great tools, so many of us now consumed by this craft, especially those who live outside the USA, would be left to illuminate our paths forward with only the dimness of our own devices.

A big thanks to all of the experienced builders and luthiers that frequent the OLF to contribute and share their thoughts and ideas with us so freely. In this game, it is a blessing that great minds do not always think alike.

Cheers

Kim

Mr. Somogyi,

I hope to be able to spend some time with you as a student of this
craft.
I've always kept a sharp eye out for anything written by you about any
guitar related topic and have been intrigued by the many great things
said by folks who have had the priviledge of learning from you. It's been a
dream of mine for some time now.

I look forward to any contributions you make here at the OLF and am
sure we'll all be able to glean what will be treasures for us from them. I'm
sure you'll find this community to be made up of the best group of people
on the net who are talking guitars.

Welcome and Regards,
Kevin Gallagher/Omega Guitars
