Today I drove to Summit New Jersey (1-1/2 hours from my house)to sell one of my archtop guitars.
The name of the shop is Guitars 'n Jazz.
The owner is Lou Del Rosso.
It is a small shop, roughly 300 square feet, chok'o block full of some of the nicest archtops on the planet! Talk about a kid in a candy store!!
Lou only sells archtop guitars. Hanging on his walls were instruments by Ribbeke,Megas,Lacy,Andersen,Naplitano,M'curdy, etc.
He also carries Eastman which is a Chinese guitar line.
I know most of you are flattop makers ,so those names might not be familiar to you-it would be like having Olson,Ryan,Grevin,De'Jonge, etc.all in the same room!
Oh Yeah,I almost forgot-there was this maker named Nelson Palen!! This was the first time I have ever seen a Palen-all I can say is SWEEEET!!!! The craftsmanship, playability, fit and finish and sound were incredible!
Here are some pictures of Lou and myself:

Here is the Goodman hanging on the wall flanked by a few Palens:

Thanks for looking.Brad Goodman39067.7169444444

Brad that's a great looking quilted maple archtop...wow

It looks like your guitar has a found a good home and is in excellent company. I've never seen pictures of that many high end archtops hanging on one wall...suuuuweeeet.

Cool Brad, I have a Palen in my shop right now. Nelson makes gorgeous guitars. As do you.
Best, Evan

So very nice!! I had an A-top when I was like 8 years old! It was black and lived under the couch. I never really played it.

I always like people posting stuff like this! Thanks!

I assume that your on the Left Brad. Lou there looks really happy to be adding your fine instrument to has great list of builders and guitars.

Well done.

Thanks for the photos, Brad. That's one fine guitar with your name on it! It's got good company, too.

I wish I could have one of those. Some day maybe I'll build one and learn how to really play it. I'd love to play like Kenny Burrel and build like Tom Ribbecke. Tall order. You must be proud.
