So who are the poker players among us? I thought it might be fun to do a private online poker tournament for OLF members.

Anyone interested?

I dabble a bit at Texas Hold 'Em. Who doesn't, these days?

Sounds interesting, Joshua. Is there a site folks can go to for this sort of thing?

Best,

Michael

I think we got an excellent player with Philip, aka Konacat but me, not a good gambler!

Ya, I'd be in as long as it was just for fun (no money that is)

I've watched the Texas holdem and it looks like fun, but never played. Played quite a bit of 5 card stud, and miscellaneous games. Might be interested, though.

I have been playing poker online, I have the Superstars of Poker videogame and I have been looking for a weekly low $$$ game in town here - but to no avail so far.
I prefer Texas Holdem, as opposed to Omaha or other games of poker though. Are we talking Holdem?
Cheers

There are sites that will put together a password protected tournament for things like this. I'm not quite sure of the logstics in setting it up, but I'd take care of it. My favorite site (particularly for the blind speed in relation to starting chips) is Bugsy's Club.

Looks like there's only a couple of interested people. Maybe some others will eventuallly see this thread and voice some interest too. We'd need at least 6 definite players, hopefully more.

I was thinking a No Limit Hold 'em - $10 buyin. Unfortunately if there is no money involved, the dynamics of the game change and it ceases to be a gamme of skill.

If anyone else is interested please post here.

I'd be interested if there was at least a small buy in such as $10 like Joshua mentioned.

Poker without money is not interesting to me.

I'll pass. Wouldn't want to lose my OLF tee-shirt.

Ron,

With a $10 buy in you wouldn't lose more than the $10.

Yeah, I'm game too. as long as I don't have to explain to the missus why I'm not wearing a shirt. The logistics might count me out tho
