Woodcraft has this system on 10% off sale for the first time I have seen. The basic system is still pricey at $360.   Is it worth the money? Any opinions and experience with the tool would be appreciated!
Thanks, Tom

Tom, I have a Tormek and the only attachment I have for it is the one that comes with it to sharpen chisels. It works just fine for sharpening chisels. It is easy to use, gets a pretty good edge and won't overheat your chisels.

I don't know anything about the other attachments though. You might want to watch for one of Woodcraft's demos if you need to know about the other stuff.

Yes it is worth it unless you are really good with stones. I sold mine, and when get back into my own shop, I will get another one. Takes only a small amount of time to keep chisels, planer/jointer blades very sharp. Other neat jigs for other uses if wanted

To me it was one of the best purchases I made. I was really really slow on the scary sharp method. Prices have gone way up since I got mine. I got the complete package for about $600. I see now it's over $800. Then I bought the jointer/planer blade jig which paid for itself about the second time I used it.
Once you get the hang of the machine and setting the angle, it's very quick to tune up your sharps. I did all my chisels in about 10 minutes this weekend.

Hey Paul, I'll be sending my 6" jointer knives to ya for sharpening!
