I guess this shows that you can use up all your orphaned parts from the junk pile and still make a guitar.

Gulp, that he can make such a wonderful looking guitar in a unique way with non matching parts is remarkable. I have trouble sanding a flat piece of wood. The only thing similar that I have seen was a tenor ukulele. It was made of 7 kinds of wood and is a great instrument but can’t hold a candle to this beautiful piece of artistry. Howard you skill is really something to behold.

C'mon Howard, be a man! I expect the dovetails of your next one to look like this.

BTW: Great work!

Howard, that's really impressive.
What amazes me is the flawless execution at the butt.
Well, that's a rather coarse word for such refinement, but I can't remember the PC word right at the moment.
Everything meeting right there with such precision, and no inlay to hide any slop, is remarkable.

Now, how about a 4 piece top, with the 2nd joint at 90 degrees to the centerline? It could also bisect the soundhole, and divide it into 4 quadrants. You'd have dovetails all over the place.
AND, dovetail your rosette into the top?

Or not....

What Arnt said!

Amazin -- simply Amazin!

No doubt that guitar will immortalize you as a piece in a museum someday.

Rod thanks for posting the pictures!

I've been eye-balling this guitar since the original posting....that is an AMAZING piece of work, I don't think most people can really appreciate how difficult that guitar was to build. I may never post another picture again....Yikes!

Cheers,
Greg
