Hi,

I can’t seem to stop this stuff, Supper CA, from hardening in the dispenser’s delivery tube. Therefore, I am continually trimming the tube. This creates a problem when trying to apply a small amount when filling dings and such. I’ve tried plastic wrap and tape with no success. I store it in the original double container but it still hardens. Any help would be appreciated.

One suggestion I've heard is to squeeze the air out with the container held upright just prior to applying the CA. Tilting the container back to its upright position and releasing "the squeeze" will suck the residual CA out of the delivery tube back into the bottle.
I use pipettes, as do many other folks, as disposable applicators. The above procedure will prolong the useful life of pipettes before plugging also.

I always screw off the top and transfer whatever I need to a pipette...and then close up the bottle. I get a lot more control and the pipette drops are of uniform size. A pipette lasts about 10 trips to the bottle for me.

Like JJ, I always use a pipette for the low viscosity CA. Yes the tips still clog
frequently, but the little plastic pipettes are cheap and disposable so I've
never seen this to be an issue.

Every CA I've used has had the same cloging problems until I started
useing Loctite CA

It has a patented "clog free lid" ... believe it or not, it has never cloged!   
Also... you can get it anywhere.

Thanks for the tips.

I will be using the thumb tack trick for my current bottle of CA and will be trying the pipette suggestion for the small jobs.

I see that the Loctite CA product is widely available here in Canada, so that to is on my shopping list.

I've become a fan of the Loctite CA also and can report that I have not had a cap/spout clog since converting over to it. I use it in both thin and gap filling viscosities.

I'm curious as to how many of you out there clamp the pipette bulb between your teeth for a third hand?

Acetone will dissolve hardened CA, so you can clear out your clogged tube by soaking it in acetone. I used to buy an extra tip (as Hesh suggests) and keep one tip on the bottle of CA and the other in a jar of acetone. Acetone is nasty, toxic stuff, though, and highly volatile, so I rather think the suggestion of using cheap pipettes is a better solution.
