A church nearby had a big fishfry Saturday night. Andy ( my younger brother) and I were asked to come play as special guests. We played a lot of gospel and bluegrass together, And then I played some fingerstyle solo by myself. I played songs by artists like Chet Atkins, laurence Juber, and Tommy Emmanuel, as well as others. Almost everyone their told us how great we sounded. I was surprised to get that kind of reaction. By the way I am playing a guitar I made.

Sorry the pics are so bad. I didn't take 'em

Colby,

Wow! Very cool. How old are you? You look so young to be building such great guitars and playing Atkins, Juber, and Emmanuel! Either you started really young or you have a lot of musical talent. Or, you worked your rear off! Probably that last one huh?!

More pictures of your guitar would be great.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Jeff

Thanks for the comments on the git. Jeff, I’m nineteen. I’m glad you think my guitars look good but I’m still not satisfied with them. They all have some small visual flaw. While my steel strings sound pretty good, my classicals have some sound problems.
I started taking guitar lessons at age 11 and the guy I took from played fingerstyle guitar, I ‘ve been picking hard every since. Thanks for looking.
Here's the guitar.

Don’t know why the new pics won’t show. They’re the right file type and under 50kb.

Hey Colby,
Neat. Not only do you build and play, but you play the right kind of music - Bluegrass. Keep it up! How long before you build a fiddle for your brother?

Here is my brothers fiddle. It’s a handmade that is 200 years old. I don’t think I could top that. Maybe when I get old and have more free time on my hands I’ll give it a shot.

I don’t know why the server doesn’t let me upload my guitars pics? It doesn’t mind a fiddle.

Now THAT is a fiddle!!!

Thanks also for posting the pics of you and your brother. I'd like to see the ones of your guitar too. If you get the time try to post it on a new thread maybe they'll come up then.

Keep up the good work!

Better get started now.
