Getting ready to bend ebony bindings for two flamenco guitars. I've never bent ebony before, and I'm hesitating.

Do I just use a little spritz of water and aluminum foil like everything else I've done?

Or do I go with a glycerine+water (or maybe fabric softener, since I can't find the glycerine) assist?

Can't decide.

I've been working on the finishing touches on a fingerboard radius jig that's been holding me up from finishing my latest creation.

I'm still working on "the last 10%" of 3 guitars which always seems to take forever. Finishing up the neck carving and FB work. Hopefully I'll get them singing this month.

Hesh...tell us about the 1st experience with the William's jig...what differences have you noticed on the quality of the routings?

Hey Don, You must be psychic. I have already added a double layered patch on the inside of the upper bout just in case a port is in order. I wasn’t sure the pierced rosette was going to be enough.
JJ, The pierced rosette and the shape are the oddities on this one. Other than that, it’s a mid sized flat top with a lutz top and Imbuia back and sides from the Zoot man.
I’ll post more details when I get it presentable.

Looking great in the Heshtone shop, that gitter should make an excellent studio recording instrument, i look forward to try this wood too, hopefully this year or next. Happy that you love the William jig, sure helps to have a sturdy set up for this application!

Well, me, i'm in the final stages of installing the neck properly, i should be able to drill the bridge pin holes tonight and start the sanding tomorrow, left the camera in the shop, will try to post some piccys tonight, YAAAHOOOO!

I cut the nut slot on my OM today and made the nut.I'm going to start spraying nitro tomorrow weather permitting.

Things are coming along nicely in my shop, albeit very slowly. I`m nearing completion of the 2nd OM from cherry and walnut.
I`m having a little trouble trying to get my photos and computer to cooperate with me tonight. Operator error on my part, I`m sure.
