Getting ready to bend ebony bindings for two flamenco guitars. I've never bent ebony before, and I'm hesitating.

Do I just use a little spritz of water and aluminum foil like everything else I've done?

Or do I go with a glycerine+water (or maybe fabric softener, since I can't find the glycerine) assist?

Can't decide.

Hesh: Can't help but wonder...did you use the new binding rig on that one?

Hesh,
I love that outside to inside compairison.
Looks like a good day for Luthiery!

I've been working on the finishing touches on a fingerboard radius jig that's been holding me up from finishing my latest creation.

Have a great weekend!

Wade

Good Golly Wade ! What have we here?!!!!!!!!!!

Bro, you build the coolest stuff....
I can't wait to play it!

Ooh...a carved port in the side would look cool with that one...a mini version of the soundhole!

OMG, Wade...that's exquisite...tell us more...lots more!

I'm still working on "the last 10%" of 3 guitars which always seems to take forever. Finishing up the neck carving and FB work. Hopefully I'll get them singing this month.

Hesh...tell us about the 1st experience with the William's jig...what differences have you noticed on the quality of the routings?

Hey Don, You must be psychic. I have already added a double layered patch on the inside of the upper bout just in case a port is in order. I wasn’t sure the pierced rosette was going to be enough.
JJ, The pierced rosette and the shape are the oddities on this one. Other than that, it’s a mid sized flat top with a lutz top and Imbuia back and sides from the Zoot man.
I’ll post more details when I get it presentable.
Hesh, I second that critique of the William's jig.

Wade

That guy's fret five, MOP in ziracote. Sure would be nice to have enough time to make a guitar to put it on...

Hesh, i'm movin' in, get that bench out of the way! I'll go mess your place up! Just kiddin' of course, i'm following your footsteps for neatness and it's hard!

Looking great in the Heshtone shop, that gitter should make an excellent studio recording instrument, i look forward to try this wood too, hopefully this year or next. Happy that you love the William jig, sure helps to have a sturdy set up for this application!

Whoa Wade my man, love your design and creative work, it's just spectacular mon ami! More pics and specs please!

JJ, you been a busy Bear too! Progress pics please!!!

Well, me, i'm in the final stages of installing the neck properly, i should be able to drill the bridge pin holes tonight and start the sanding tomorrow, left the camera in the shop, will try to post some piccys tonight, YAAAHOOOO!

I just got this puppy glued up for an electric. I recently splurged on the plane. I drool a little every time I use it.

Things are coming along nicely in my shop, albeit very slowly. I`m nearing completion of the 2nd OM from cherry and walnut.
I`m having a little trouble trying to get my photos and computer to cooperate with me tonight. Operator error on my part, I`m sure.
