Well folks,

When the Don posted his A.D.D thread the other day and told us all about his burnt Buffalo Wings I was a little confused and intrigued at the same time. Being from downunder I was thinking that these things must be jointed from some mutant form of bovine that only comes out when you've had too much to drink.

Well Don remained a little secretive when I ask for a description and recipe either that or I guess he must have just missed my request. But thankfully, my good mate Billy T came to the rescue with the good oil.

Billy set me up with a run down of the general process and a good understanding of the simple preparation techniques that are required to make the hot source. He also suggested that Buffalo Wings go great with beer and this set my mind to the task immediately as I have been desperate to find a new excuse to add to the few that I have managed to come up with myself over the years to consume the nectar of gods .

I was well and truly inspired so I set out to the shopping centre this arvo and purchased the few uncomplicated ingredients required to test my hand at creating this gastronomic masterpiece. When I got home I completed the basic prep and then, for the first time in yonkers, I got out the old deep fryer from the back of the cupboard and cleaned her up ready to go and then announced to my family that tonight we supp upon wings of buffalo

Well I gotta tell yall that they were delicious and a welcome addition to the family favourite list. Not only did they taste superb but they also looked most inviting too, just as good food always should, whoopee.

My whole family was so impressed by this dandy display of fine nosh that we all agreed that it would be a good idea to show everyone a picture of my epicurean accomplishment and at the same time make a big public THANK YOU! to our mate Billy so that everyone could see, as if you all ready did not know, that Billy T is one hell ov a great guy dag nab-it who works tirelessly to promote friendship and good will here at the OLF ah tell ya.

So, once again Billy my mate

THANK YOU BUDDY!

Eny howe here's a foeteegraf of dem thar Buff'loww Wangs. Dang dem thangs is sooooooo deeeelishus they dun gone an got me talk'in lark an Merrican...yeeeeehhhaaaaarrrr!

Kim, looks like you took to 'em right away.
Wings have become a really big deal over here, at least in parts of the country. Mighty fine eating.

Great post...and a fantastic description of the event, Kim.

Our Billy is definitely multi-talented...Photoshop King and now the resident OLF food maven! Most of all...just a really nice guy. Thanks for being such a good ambassador, Billy!

The Zootman often dines at the joint in Buffalo where they were invented. Perhaps he can add to your enjoyment.

Kim, it looks like you're off to a great start! You'll find you need to increase the capsaicin levels after a while.

Given the popularity of Buffalo wings, I've always wondered why nobody has marketed Buffalo chips.

Kim, I think you need to pick out a little plumper bird next time. Those wings are a little on the lean side.
Great post!

Well, I'm normally a giant SOB, but when he said he hadn't tried them before, I almost cried! What else could I do?

Glad the whole family liked them Kim! I thought the Aussies would of taken to them by now, maybe you can spread the word!

Thanks for the kind words everybody!

HEY! You didn't save me any!!!
That's certainly understandable!
