Now, I will make no appologies for this, there is some really heavy spiritual content (in my mind anyway) here, but this has to be one of the best father son stories of all time. I've been crying for 1/2 hour.

I wanted to share this with you my friends. Love your kids, never ever give up.

I can only imagine

Rod,

I also had received that story several months ago. And, like you, I cried. But, they were tears of joy!
For me, it was a “make you feel good about being a human being” story!
People like, Dick and Rick are an inspiration to everyone!
When I read the story for the first time, I said to myself “WOW! UNBELIEVABLE! AMAZING!

Then I realized, there was something very simple going on here.

LOVE!

LOVE is the answer!

LOVE will always be the only thing that really matters!

Like you said Rod, “Love your kids, never ever give up”

Simple words, but, words of wisdom non the less!

Thanks Rod for posting this!

I enjoyed reading again, and reminding myself of how much I appreciate my children!

Sincerely, Robert

“Love is best shown, than spoken”

I watched him in one of the IronMan races. Bawled my eyes out the whole brodcast.

Rewatched it this morning and i wouldn't mind watching it every single day of the rest of my life. Reminds me how much power goes through real love and that my little self is so selfish too often, Dick and Rick are inspirations to follow in terms of faith and courage.

Thanks again Rod, it's just too beautiful not to watch again.

When I divorced my first wife, my son was 3 and my daughter 9 months. I didn't even think of them, I was so self-centered. Luckily for me, I found a woman who was strong enough to not let me stay so self-centered. But it was still 20 years before I realized how much I had given up. I feel so honored that both kids still talk to me and love me. I give thanks for that every day now.
