Doing some web surfing tonight and came across this web site of a build with some of the best pics I have ever seen and some really neat and somewhat different approaches to building. Really liked the neck carving ideas, carving out guides. Just finishing up a neck myself and wish I had seen this before. Would have made it easier.

Thanks, Rich-
Lots of interesting ideas there- even small things like the split tubing to protect the soundhole edge from clamps were head-slappers for me.
Well worth a read.
John

Lot's of good stuff. See through plexi caul for the rosette so you CAN
literally watch the glue dry.

You see, this is the sort of stuff I love; where people are generous enough to consider others who find guitar build progress sites quite essential in learning to build guitars. Kudos to them!!!

Rich, thanks for the link. This is the kind of pictorial I am attempting with my first build. From the looks of it, the person that put this together has quite a bit of luthiery experience.

I thought some of you might find value in this site. This guy not only has some good information but the pictures are some of the best I have seen. I wish I could get close ups like this with my digital camera. I guess I will have to read the directions. Maybe there is a pictorial on how to use my camera.
