Well I've been awfully busy the past few weeks and haven't had time to say much around here. I do stop by on a regular basis to see what people are up to and I'm seeing lots of great work!

One of the things I have been doing is working on a new website. I didn't do the design work so I can't take credit for how good it look (well I think it looks good).

Stop by and let me know what you thing. There still may be one or two things that I need to tweak.

Hey Josh ..looks great.!..You are building some beautiful looking instruments..Ever thought of a sound page..I always thought of them as a nice addition to a site...

I think there might be a wee spelling mistake on the home page..."whether" instead of "wether" ..I could be rong, if I am disregard!! Cheers

Later this year I will add an artists page to the site. It will give information about pro players who are playing along with sound clips of them using the guitars.

I like your site a lot. These design is really cool and I like the pictures of guitars being worked on now. Good job.

I think the "first person" approach really makes it feel friendly, and the
overall look has a nice, professional vibe.

for what it's worth... the simple viewer loaded very slowly, and I'm on
broadband. Unless someone else noticed it could be just me.

Looks good, easy to navigate. Your photo gallery is cool. BTW, that Lutz-mahogany in your "For Sale" section is really nice! Is it going to Healdsburg?

Things I spotted...
Home page, first paragraph: "someone" is singular, "their" is plural. Should read--"...someone could build his own guitar." Also, "Sergei" is misspelled.

On your Guitars/Acoustic page: I think you meant to leave out the first "one" in the following sentence. "I have chosen one to list the ones which are more commonly used."

Ordering Info page: Second sentence...I'd suggest, "...you will be given the next...", instead of "...are given...". Just sounds more definitive.
Last sentence, first paragraph..."customers" and "their" are plural, so it should read, "...their instruments...", and, "...while they are being built."

Pricing page: You left the "Z" out of "bouzouki."

These are just details...I think the whole site is quite well presented!

Josh, it looks great to me! You build some mighty fine looking guitars dude!

I did see on one page that florentine was spelled incorrectly. Can't remember which page though. Maybe it was on your instruments for sale page.

Alright Josh! It's a good site for what you want it to do. The strengths I
see include:

- The storytelling, personal approach. You're not distant, you're
approachable. You're not big, you're small. A customer of yours has a
name you'll remember.

- The professional design. Being able to make a website doesn't make
someone a web designer. I can tell immediately that you're taking what
you're doing seriously because the site makes it look that way.

 Hey guys,

Thanks for all the great comments and thanks to those who read through the content and picked out some of the mistakes. The site has only been up for a few days and so there are a lot of these little things to tidy up.

The beauty of this site is that even though I am clueless about how to do a website this company's software allows me to have total control over all the site content. So I can slip in at any time and change anything I want. The guys at Robin hood Tech have been outstanding to work with. That whole site was put together in 8 business days.

Thanks Carton on picking up on a lot of those little things. One thing I would say though is that I did not spell Sergei's name wrong. It is Sergei not Serge. His name is often miss pronounced and miss spelled, but you can check his site to confirm this.

The red wood is really bias tape. The red around the side ports is dyed veneer. I have got into this thing were I do bias tape on the inside to match the coloured purfling that I use. I have done green, red, orange, purple and a few other colours. I like the colour that it adds to the instrument.

Josh, I just checked again. You've spelled it "Sergie," instead of "Sergei."
