Very cool....

Lance, I'm jealous but certainly glad for you to be able to see Hesh, his new shop and play a couple of his great guitars.

Now of course, we want a review on those Heshtone's you're holding there.

What if we could convince Lance to quit his day job, and just make the rounds visiting OLF members? And of course, playing our guitars? That would be a lot of miles on his part, but just look at the joy he'd be spreading!

Big fun!!! Someday, I'll have to make the trip to your part of the State and visit both of you guys. 'Course, I still haven't been to Chris' shop, and he lives about as far from me as you do from Lance!

BTW, Hesh, those guitars are definitely standing the test of time--lookin' mighty good!!!

Sorry for the late responce!

Its been a busy weekend, I haven't had much time to check in.

About Heshtone Gitfiddles, what can I say, they sound better than they look
and they look DANG good!

Every since Hesh started that little Taz Myrtle L-00 I've been
wanting to get over and hear it. I have a set I got from Tim Spittle and have
it set aside for a special project, Hmm now that I think about it, it may end up
being an L-00 with a black top! Anyways, this was also my first ear test of a Lutz top, and it
exceeded my expatiations. The guitar was way above the normal scale for volume, we questioned wither it
was louder than the addy topped dread in the picture below it, I do know this, it held it own, was very
focused, powerful and there was no way It was going to be overdriven. The harder I played it the better it sounded.
The treat of the day was hearing this guitar in DADgad tuning. This little L-00 excels in this and dropped D tuning.

All in all this was a very fun taste testing of the Heshtone stable. One that I personally would be VERY proud to
show anyone!
Oh, lastly, on the bench in the new workshop, another L-00 that is as light as a feather, and the top bongs like a
timpani! It will no doubt be another cannon like its black top brother.

Thanks Hesh and Lacy! IT was great to see you both again, lets do it again real soon!
Carlton you are always welcome at the Flushtone shop....

You know that some of the best ideas that have been used on my gutiars were ideas that you suggested. The last example of this was the bridge on the black top L-OO when you suggested that I give it the stealth treatment.
Thanks for the nod; but if I'd had to come up with an example for you I wouldn't have had a clue where to start. I thought, though, that if the idea tickled your neurons you'd come up with something good--and sure enough....!
