Oh this is easy.
1. She's always cheerful.
2. She's a hard worker. (elem. teacher 30 yrs.)
3. She plays guitar.
4. She keeps a nice home and loves parties, like tonight.
5. She loves our kids.
6. She is very health conscious. (always watching over my shoulder)
7. Oh, did you say three? No way......
8. She's beautiful.
9. She sings like a bird.
10. She loves me. (just as I am)

Wow, I can't wait until she gets home from shopping so I can give her a big hug and kiss!

Kay is the best!

I'll have what Bruce is having.

Seriously, Kay probably is all those things, she sure seemed very nice when we met her at the 1st Ark. get together.

All those things listed so far pretty much fit my wife, too.    Except the party thing: she probably would like to entertain more, but it kinda goes against my nature, unless I can hand pick who's coming.

I would add, that my wife is very encouraging in all my creative efforts. Ain't love grand, 33 1/2 years for us.

Ron

Oh, yeah, my wife doesn't play guitar, but she likes it when I play guitar or banjo.

There was a great quote in the movie " The untouchables " made by Kevin Costner "Isn't it great to be married?" he asked while looking at the lunch that his beautiful wife had prepared him before he left to work to catch the bad guys.

I love my wife, very deeply, she's my Angel sent by God, she's soft spoken but can be a firm grip for the turbulent one that i am, she always smiles to me and we have great conversations together, yet, sometimes she grounds me when i say things that are out of place or context. She's delicate and yet very strong, a true, just and kind heart that welcomes me home everyday after work and that i'm happy to retrieve for true love.

My wife is honest and believes in God, met her in a church almost 11 years ago now, at a time where the chances to meet me in a church were very slim, especially when you're wearing sunglasses at night and a leather jacket and have the Attitude!

I'm just a spoiled one!

Because she told me she is.

Why argue? I never win, so it would be pointless.

No one yet mentioned putting up with wood chips and rosewood dust tracked through the house.  Mine does and will admit publicly that it is a small price to pay to let me build.

AND, don't forget, she inspired that most-excellent "Apology" thread! She's probably much too humble to accept the credit for that one, though.

Well Folks,

I could write a book on this one!

But, I’ll try to keep it short. Yeah, Right!

First let me say a few things about what she does.

She home schools both of our boys (7 & 4)
She takes care of 3 dogs, 1 cat, 2 birds inside the house, and ALL of the birds outside the house.
She keeps the house immaculate.
She cooks all the meals. (And, I’m telling you, she is one fine cook)
She is very health conscious.
She volunteers her time to the local Cub Scouts.
She makes sure the boys get enrolled in sports programs here locally, then makes sure they get there on time.
She bushhogs the pasture from spring to fall. (She loves that tractor)
And, after all of that, she still has time for me!

Ok, Here’s the real important stuff;

She is dedicated, diligent in her daily affairs, and, Loving to our Children, and Me.
She is stubborn, very strong willed, and opinionated.
She is honest, compassionate, and complaisant.
She is very sensitive. (Though apprehensive to show it)
She is supportive in just about everything I do. (Yup, that’s right! Even guitar building)
She believes in me, even when I don’t.
She is understanding. (We can talk about everything)
She knows I’d do just about anything she asked, but, never takes advantage of me.
She is sexy. (And I mean, SEXY)
She is, in my eyes, beautiful, wonderful, and a lot of fun to be with!
She is my best friend!

Sounds perfect, doesn’t it ?
Well, of course its not, but, its darn close!
We have our share of disagreements.
The usual conflicts of which way is better, hers or mine.
Whether the money should be spent on this, or that.
We have our little debates over some things that don’t amount to a HILL of BEANS, but, we will stress
our point till that dead horse is beaten down to the bones!

Most of time though, We laugh!
We laugh a lot!
We laugh at our selves!
We laugh with our children!
We always end up laughing at something!

Her name is Susan, and I love her with all my heart!

Sounds like a very great woman is sharing your life!

James W B, That is a very good point, and glad you said it!

Warren, she can inlay, outlay, uplay, and, downlay! Well, you get the idea!

Irwin, So, you didn’t know? Women love men with hammers!

Seriously though,

Keep in mind my friends, that we never see ourselves the way others do.

We often see another differently than the way another would.

And, we most assuredly see our loved one (at least to some point) the way we want them to be.

Having said that, I am very much in love with my wife, and she with me!
And, she really is all those things I mentioned.
However, perception will always play a part in any relationship.

I posted this response, because I thought, I might have given the impression that I live on “Cloud 9"

I don’t!

I live in Ellijay!

what an amazing place this is. and what amazing people in this place. i feel like the vast majority of what i hear come out of mens mouths sounds nothing like the things i just heard you gentlemen say. im 28, have been married for three years, and am so glad to spend the rest of my life with my wonderful wife. ive yet to build a guitar, but have spent a tremendous amount of time just checking this place out and have received so much information here. thank you to you all for being so encouraging in this craft and in life.       heath

Because with out giving me a hard time she let me spend a whole weekend driving 1200 miles to hang out with a great bunch of guys, and then tells me how great she thinks my hobby is.
