Hesh, great idea...

I would love to meet with you all again! I'll wait and see what dates we settle on and I'll try my very best to make it...

P.S. I'll try to bring some Single Malt to toast the occasion!

Remember, kids are already in school come Sept. I'm not speaking for myself since mine are in college. Maybe mid August?? Cleveland is great location, but where would the barbeque be held? It will still be warm enough in Sept if it was held in Ohio. There are quite of few OLFers in Ohio if one wants to offer there place for a jam session. Clinton

Clinton,
The problem with Mid August is that a lot of builders my self included will be at the semiannual Healdsburg Guitar Festival. It falls on the 17, 18 and 19th.

The weekend after would work, but I suspect that many people will not come out because of just getting back form California.

SO that is why I suggested early September.
I do know this, it should be planned to work for the majority of people. So Mid August may be the best time period.

Las Vegas in August! 115* in the shade! But it's a dry heat!

"All things considered, I'd rather be in Cleveland."

Lets ask Colin if he would host it in August on his side of the pond. Now THAT would be an adventure. We could go try all the local pubs and cruze the local wood merchants for euro tops.

I bet the temps are much more tolerable than Vegas. And, I have seen tickets with British Airways as cheap as $400 round trip to most major US cities on the east coast.

Walter;
What is the humidity in Vegas that time of year?????  I've just had a pot boiling in the shop for 3 weeks trying to keep 30% or better during the cold snap in Chicago to keep things from cracking and snapping.

Since I am from Cleveland it sounds great to me. If this is the location I would be glad to do my part to help out.

Where's Stew-Mac? I bet a visit/tour/Q&A with Dan Erlewine could be arranged. It'd be cool to see his shop (and to see where all our money goes )!

You would rather be in Cleveland than Vegas? The only way I would end up in Cleveland was if the rest of the world was on fire!

We could hold it in Covina! We could go down to Clippinger Chevrolet and look at the new cars, and there's this new bug in Grand ave field that nobody seems to have seen before! It would be Cool!

I STILL think we should do it in the UK. Or maybe visit Arnt in Norway. Isn't anyone interested in euro spruce?

Now you're talking! And I've got a shed full of euro spruce, unfortunately it will be mostly gone by the summer as it is my firewood. I could chop down some more for you all though... In fact my house is made out of euro spruce, as are most of my neighbors houses. No, you can't have the house!

But come on over! I can pretty much guarantee the weather will be nothing like Las Vegas, too.

Hesh another gathering is a great idea. Between ASIA in May and Scotland the last 2-1/2 weeks of July, timing is going to be critical for me.

I would have sang a song for you and Lacy when I was in Ann arbor if you would have been up for it. Honest.
