beautiful work Bob. BTW I also use KTM 9 and really like it. How long do you let it cure before final buffing and polishing.
How does the walnut/ cedar sound? I'm thinking the
same combination. Clinton
Sorry Clinton, I miss this the first time around.
I've become a big fan of Walnut. I'm able to harvest it locally and I think it
looks and sounds great. And cedar is always a good choice. After nearly
30 guitars, I think this Walnut/cedar guitar is the best sounding one I've
made. (I wanted to keep it.)

Thanks again, Long.

Thanks Ron,
When I switched from nitro to KTM9 I just waited 2 weeks. I now wait at
least 3 and better yet 4 weeks. It seems to make quite a difference. By
waiting longer it seems I spend less time chasing scratchs when I'm wet
sanding and buffing.

Thanks a lot Bob. I have never used Nitro but your KTM 9 experience mirrors my experience exactly. I have found way to many small scratches and fingernail swipes on guitars that I have waited the minimum time to buff and polish. When the finish is well cured it is very hard and resistant to scratches. I have been working on my patience and will also now wait 4 weeks to the final steps of buffing, polishing and putting on the neck and bridge and the fretting and final setup.

I need to give credit where credit is due. The photos were shot by my
friend Woody Walters. Woody has world class photo skills... his
website is pretty amazing.

Woody takes great pics! I love those images from the Florida portfolio. He sure did right by those guitars of yours as well.

Beautiful job Bob. Those are some killer guitars! I love the sound of cedar, so I'm sure I'd love the Cedar/Walnut the best. Great job!

Erasers... they're not just for mistakes anymore.

lovely guitars, great body shapes! Only minor nitpick I can come up with is the flat spot on the body by the heel. Breaks the flow for me, viewed from the back.

Oh, and an alternative way to do screwless covers of all types: go online, go to a magnet store, buy a bunch of tiny (1mm thick, 1/8" or 1/4" diameter) neodymium/rare earth magnets, and go to town. 20 bucks will get you a lifetime supply!

Also worth adding: I very rarely see a maple neck on an acoustic that I love, but this one's got me very, very seriously considering building one. Or two. Or ten. Simple gorgeous, understated design. My kind of instruments!

I really like this body shape Bob, do you have mind if I copy it to some degree?

Also, how do you make them levitate like this

Rod, I think the trick is to hang them by the tuners using fishing line. Then if any of the line shows you edit it out in Photoshop.

Thanks Mattia, I know what you're talking about, and I've thought about it
alot. I haven't changed it yet... but I just might. It's of course much
easier to build with it square.

Rod, I would be honored if you based one of your guitars on this shape.
Keep me posted if you do.

The "floating" Guitar was sitting on a stand. I photo shopped the stand
out.

Or really basic dimensions would be very helpfull.

I really like the slope shoulders and the lower bout seems to go on forever and all of a sudden, there's the waist.

Very cool shape indeed. I may just change my GA to look like this. 16" lower bout with this shape would be a great guitar.
