I'm in need of 2 black screw in strap buttons with Paua dots. Ebony would be my preference, but black buffalo horn would be acceptable as well. Lmi is out of these buttons and I am not sure where else to get them. Or if there is one of you guys who has two that they could send me that would be great.

thanks

Hey Josh, have you tryed David Freeman at Timeless Instruments. He may have what you need, although it's not listed on his website.

Rod,

I hadn't thought of David. I'll give him a try and see if he has anything.

It seems to be pretty easy to find ebony with MOP dots, but paua seems to be another matter all together.

Josh,

I have ebony strap buttons and Paua dots. It would not be a big deal at all to add some dots to the buttons. So let me know if you are still stuck.

Shane

Alas...not everything....I only have bridge pins with paua in ebony, then plain ebony and boxwood. I have MOP dots but not gold. I continue to get more and different supplies but it takes time...oh ya, and money .

Thanks Rod

Shane

I dont know of anyone who has ebony/gold mop pins - I had to make them a couple years back. Its actually easier than you think, just dont try to drill the hole with a drill bit though, use a router bit in the drill press, at least as a centre, in order to drill with a twist to the correct pearl size.
