I finished my first but can't seem to link photos so here's a Photobucket

A Cedar/EIR nylon string. I didn't go the traditional route. Bolt on neck,
MOP rosette and lacquer, but it plays and sounds great. I'm a pretty
happy guy. After seeing the work of a couple of classical builders that
hang out here I have gained a great appreciation for tradition. I will
probably do another sometime and make it a true classical. The problem
with this site is I see so many great peoples beautiful work, well I just
don't know what to build next. I guess I'll start by re-tooling my shop a
bit and start collecting some wood.

Danny, really nice job. I don't play a classical so can't comment on one and playability but you really did a nice job on the cutaway and the whole things looks like it really holds together design wise. LOVE the cedar top and the maple bindings. VERY NICE.

Danny, that's pretty cool! Very nice job.

Thanks for the kind comments. Being a long time player and
woodworker, And with the great guidence of "the Coach" and use of his
well tooled shop, I was able to set the bar a little higher.
It sounds GREAT! I'm not a classical player. Always loved the sound of
Chet Atkins, Lenny Breau, Joe Pass etc. I did grow some fingernails in
attempt to play the way classical players do it. They go chewed up the
first time I attacted a steel string with them. So I put the thumb pick back
on and I realize that's the way for me to play it. Did I mention it sounds
great.

Here's a couple of close ups. I should have cleaned it up a bit. It's not
without it's flaws but I learned from making them. I sanded through the
finish on the heel cap the day I was going to glue the neck on. I'll try a
little Tru Oil I guess.
