I was out in the shop playing with my zoot thisafternoon, so I thought I shoot a couple of pics. So here is the stuff of #1

All the stuff from the Zootman himself.  I could only get stripes, he was all out of Plaid.  Joined the back thisafternoon too.  I have also been working on the neck, but didn't take a picture. The process has begun.

Also, the pattern of the grain is a real eye grabber on that back!

Maybe Waddy is as old as his dad!  Or maybe just old fashioned.

It is funny how the colors changed from one picture angle to the other.  I need to work on the light in my shop apparently.  I'll go study the recent thread and see if I can understand any of it.

I guess I'm not quite old enough to be your father, but I've got 11 years on you.  My father used to say gadzooks too.  I picked it up from him.  Always thought it was a good word.  I think he got it from Li'l Abner Cartoons in the paper.

Sorry for the delay.  I've been out of pocket for a couple of days.  My granddaughter was visiting.  All other priorities out the window.

Yes it is a Stanley #12.  I recently got it off e-bay, and it was not in particularly good shape, but I have it loosened up, and bought a replacement Hock blade.  Spent some time leveling the base, sharpening the blade, and started experimenting.  It works great, even with my limited experience with it.  It takes some work to get it tuned in with the blade at the right angles, and you have to adjust the depth of the blade with each angle adjustment, so it is time consuming.  However, when it is adjusted, the curls come off very smoothly, and are thing enough to read text through.  It also leaves the hardwood looking shiny, almost like it is finished.  So far, I'm very happy.

I bought another one that was in worse shape.  I'm going to see if i can get that one cleaned up and working too.  Not sure why, but like the challenge of making it work.
