Here is #7, I built this one in conjunction with #6. It was built for a LINT show coming up in October, so I busted out all the stops. The body shape is my original design, and is based on a sort of mini jumbo shape. It is only 14.5" at the lower bout. I used parabolic bracing, again. I am extremely pleased with the sound. excellent balance, and I am surprised I was able to get the basses to come through given the small body and the armrest.

Back and sides: Honduran RW
Top: Sitka
Neck: Mahog/Maple/Mohog laminated
Fretboard: Ziricote
Bridge: Ziricote w/ snakewood pins
Binding, endgraft, arm rest: Flame maple
Peghead veneer: Honduran RW
Purfling: Sterling silver
Fret markers: Paua dots
Finish: Epoxy/ Mcfadden Sealer/Mcfadden Gloss
Scalel: 24.8

Hesh- please don't CSI/image enhance this one, it scared me last time , also the end pin is drilled for a B-band which I don't have yet.

I don't know about flawless, look at the 2nd photo at how badly the heel has warped.

I appreciate all the feedback everybody.

First, let me say I have nothing but the utmost respect for Steve Kinnaird, as a luthier and a human being. and hopefully everyone knows I'm just "joshin'" with him.

Second, I'll address the rosette. Maybe I'll do a Hesh inspired tutorial someday. I have a pattern made of 1/4" plywood, it's shape has 4 "lugs" which correspond to each peak and valley on the wave. There is a hole drilled in the center for a pivot point. I also have dremel with a modified base with a patern guide in it. I follow the pattern with the dremel, then rotate it 45 deg or whatever pattern I'm going for. I inlay the b/w/b purfling strip, and then inlay colored epoxy. I'll come back later with a pic of the template.

Hesh: I hate to say it but I've never played, or heard, a BRW guitar played . But I will say HRW has great projection, and a very bright tone.

Chris V: to get it to fit is mostly file, sand, file, sand, and the old sandpaper strip trick. the problem with this one was I continued the curve through the heel. next time I think I'll leave that area flat, it shoud make fitting a lot easier.
