This is the last of the three I'm taking to Healdsburg. I wanted to bring a little something different, so I decided to build a 13 fret in fiddleback mahogany (thanks, Don Williams). Adi top with ziricote bindings with a splash of abalone thrown in.

It's going to get a Gibsonesque tobacco sunburst and gold Waverlies with ebony buttons. I'll post some more pics when it's done. Thanks for looking.

Wow, that's really sharp, Jimmy. Can't wait to see it finished.

Tony,

I'm back to doing all my own finishes except bursts. Tony Ferguson is doing this one for me and I'm looking forward to working with him. He seems to really know his stuff.

Looks like it would be a perfect fit in your lap. One of those you could play for a long time. The woods look great together.

I wish that it would be easier and cheaper to do that (leave the finishing to someone else, its a pain) from Canada .. the border just complicates things ...

Wow, Jimmy, everything about this looks great.
Thanks for posting...makes me want to get out in the shop and work!

Work well, that is.

Steve

P.S.--where did you get your brand for the center seam?
That adds to the class.

Steve,

Here's a link: branding iron

It took me awhile to find these guys, but they did a nice job. Not cheap, but a very high quality brand. I sent them the basic design in MS WordArt and they took it from there.
