Got an email this morning from Gourmet-Guitars, said I was in there database and to check the info for accuracy. Sure enough I'm there.

Anybody hear of these people?

told me I was there as well. When I looked at luthiers I only saw Ervin Somogyi listed.

Stupid me...under "database". So what did I win? Dave-SKG38491.8286458333

They were making the rounds, introducing themselves, at the last
Healdsburg Festival. Nice people, nice site.

Holger and Cindy (Gourmet Guitars) are great people. Musicians, songwriters, filmakers. They're combining these interests to produce a series of DVDs featuring luthiers from around the world. I saw a pre-release version of Volume One and really enjoyed it. Some very interesting perspective and lots of beautiful/inspirational work on the DVD. This series should be of interest to all builders and guitar enthusiasts in general.

Makes you wonder what standards were set for inclusion given the motly crew they picked from here.

Guess I didn't make the list. The only Okie luthier I see is our buddy John. Oh well, maybe next year.

That maple bass that is one of the thumbnails on the home page (as you click through the squares on the bottom) is really cool....
