I noticed that the thread on the OLF hand me down book made it to the archives.

Thought I'd start another one just to keep the reminder there/here

Who has it, think Paul B did/does and is going to Kim next yes/no?

Link to original thread

Your on the list Bud. Check out the link in my post, you'll find you asked the same question back than too

Yes, I've got it. Finished reading it the other day I'm just waiting for a chance to get to the post office and send it to Kim. Should be on it's way Saturday morning.

Hey Paul,

I was to send it off to Arnt in Norway when I'm done but I see that Tim Spittle is on the list below. I will give him a call tomorrow to see if he wants the book sent to him first, if so, he can send it down to me and then I will send it on to Arnt as arranged...I think I need to send Arnt a sheeps head with a pole up it's nose also

Cheers

Kim

Rod's old thread quoted [QUOTE]
OK so the OLF hand-me down book is on it's way folks.

Craig Lawrence of Arabia (er....I mean Australia) is the first on the list with the rest as follows.

1. Craig Lawrence (Australia)
2. Joel Fallows
3. Claire Arendse
4. Paul Burns
5. Bob Connor
6. Timothy Spittle
7. Kim Hickey
8. Arnt Rian (Norway)
9. Martin Edwards (Ireland)
10. Sam Price (UK)
11. Serge Poirier (Quebec, Canada)
12. Alain Desforges
13. Tom Dowey
14. The Zootman Bob Cefalu
15. Hesh Breakstone
16. JJ Donohue
17. Coe Franklin
18. John Elshaw
19. Paul Woolson
20. John Cavanaugh
21. Bruce Dickey
22. Old Man Ron Wisdom
23. Dave Anderson
24. Michael McBroom
25. Andy Zimmerman
26. Peter Marreiros
27. Ed Barajas
28. Ronn Coates will be moving
29. Hank Mauel & John How
30. Lillian Watson will be moving
31. Danny Vincent
32. Shane Neifer
33. Graham Stewart
34. Home to Rod True

How cool is this folks? 7 Auzzie's, 3 European's, 5 Canadians and 19 American's.

Don't ask me how much the shipping was, that's between me and Craig (but it was more than the book cost me ) But I really don't mind. I'm so excited about the journey that we all sort of get to go on.

Should be fun.

Lets see if we can keep this post going for the duration of the journey, it could be the longest running topic on the OLF.

Happy Reading my friends.

Hey Hesh that would be a great idea, but I want peoples thoughts and input during their reading of the book. I put little inserts of my own thoughts on various pages throughout the book and that was kind of the idea, to share our thoughts along the journey of reading the book.

Thanks for the kind offer my friend. I am expecting that the book tour will take at least 1.5-2 years, so I knew that this would be a long expedition .

Having said that. Get on with it!!! (who ever has the book now ) kidding of course.

Is that an aussie way of saying you are going to make me an offer I can't refuse?    (For those who don't remember the old thread about this, there were some interesting pictures of traditional Norwegian cuisine....    )

By the way, and Rod you probably already explained this, but are the addresses for all the people on the list included with the book or how was that arranged?

Arnt and all, the list of participants in the order of sending (along with a couple of location maps just for curiosity sake) is included with the package.

There may have been a slight change in order from the above list but generally, that's the order of sending.

Rod,

My mailing address has probably changed, Canada Post has done away with the rural mailing addresses and although we still go and pick up our mail at the same place it is now addressed to our house number and street. How do you want me to advise of the new address? It is also up on my website.

Thanks

Shane

If you don't mind Shane, just PM Danny V your new mailing address. He will be the one to ship the book to you
