Hi

I would really appreciate some professioanl advice. I have recently purchased a second hand 2004 Gibson Les Paul and the new black hardshell case lining seems to let off colour onto porous mateials such as the binding. (Quite lame of Gibson)!

Would anyone be in a position to recommend ways I can clean off the stain from binding please?

Many Thanks

Alex

VCan you show some pics of the stain? Try some naphtha on a cotton rag first and let us know what happened. Naphtha (lighter fluid) is a good cleaning solvent that won't harm the finish.

If that doesn't work then I'm stumped.
