I stopped by a woodworker's shop in Lihue today looking for some koa scraps for bindings, bridges, headstock, etc. and found this!

When you can no longer build or appreciated instruments:

First, the edit button would have been useful for 'appreciated' should be present tense in my original post.

There were only three of these rockers in the shop. One was sold, one was for display only, the picture I took was of the one currently for sale. Much of the rest of the items were boxes with nicely done dovetail joinery. They were an average of $500 for a small box (similar to some I sell for $100)! I have been accused of gross over-charging. I think I'll put a photo of one of these boxes and the asking price on my wall for inspiration!
Also, the shop did not have any scraps to spare. Apparently they have a pretty good market for all of their shorts/cutt-offs.

Martin Edwards is chopping up an antique rosewood table for bridges......TRUE!!!!
