Wowsers you guys ALL made out like bandits didnt you?
Hesh is right to thank the OLF staffers...
but I hope my nagging for the Swap Meet to begin wasnt too irritating to the admins!
I likewise resisted the urge to buy too much wood this time around, although Rodster approached me with a deal that was too good to pass up! Thanks Bud!
I got 3 Ibex planes various sizes - 2 had extra toothed blades that will especially handy for my upcoming archtop projects!
Also 2 spray guns ->one spray one touch up,
a fretboard slotting jig,
a brace profiling jig,
and some truss rods...
So all in all, Im very happy and special thanks to Hesh for giving me a good deal and to Bruce Dickey and Rod for the raging deals!
Lets have another one next month - er I mean year.
Thanks to all the tables who made it an amazing event
AGAIN!!!!
I really noticed that this event is a boon to people who are just getting started and are gearing up - it allows the old dogs to rid themselves of things they no longer need,
and also for the newbs to acquire necessary tools at nearly 50% off or more in most cases!!!!
Im sure I speak for all newbs when I again extend a hearty thanks to the tables who participated...

Well, I was a very good girl and bought an Intonator from Hesh. First thing I holler to my other half when I get through the door is; "Has the postman been, yet?"

I did VERY nearly buy the Myrtle set Bobc was selling, the braz fingerboards, and the bubinga...however, I REALLY held off, because I could have potentially spent an awful amount of dosh I haven't got.

Looking forward to the next swap meet, I think I'll start a savings fund just for that.

LOL, I came thiiisss (holding finger and thumb about 1/16" apart) close to springing for the myrtle and some fingerboards too.  I already spent more than I should have though so I passed.  I will be sure to be ready for the next one that's for certain!

You'll have fun with those redwood tops tho'...they were STUNNING!!

I'm too embarrased to even try to list. Lets just say I got enough stuff to screw up my first five or six builds.

I got a set of parlor size Brazilian and a Port orford top,
and some figured blackwood, from pete at Cornerstone .

2 curly Maple sets from Bob .
A beautiful set of Myrtle from Steve.

I sold 4 old growth brazilan f.b.and 4 Mad R.W. boards
To Barry Daniels.
I swapped to Pete Mad R.W. binding stock and a old growth Braz. f.b. and a 100 year redwood top.

My wood addiction is still alive & well after 30+ years
of making guitars!!!!

I picked up the StewMac Dremel binding/router attachhment from Jon (which I sincerely wish I'd had about two weeks earlier), and a #7 Bailey jointer plane from the Zootman.

Thanks to everybody .... this was GREAT, and I'll be much better prepared next time, and ready to rock!

I, on the other hand, had a faulty phone line for a few days during the swap meet which assisted in my amazing zoot-buying restraint.

An embarrassment of riches ...

4 BRW fingerboards, a BRW back and side set, and a sycamore B&S set from the Zootman, who I am now officially tithing to.

A pack 'o cedar from Shane

2 Japanese rosettes from Waddy -boy do they make some beefy classical guitars there. (Actually, I'm guessing that they use classical style rosettes on steel strings).

And a mostly disassembled ES-175 clone from James Orr, that I'm going to document the rebuild of for everyone's benefit. And boy did James leave me some rebuilding to do I have major plans for it already.

I was out of town for most of it... missed a lot of the good stuff. Just as well I suppose, I bought a Koa and 2 BRW back/side sets the week before.  I did get 2 BRW fingerboards from BobC and a couple of Redwood tops from Rich. Thanks guys
