I have just finished my first scratch build and, as promised, here are a couple of photos:

I have put up a website documenting the build, which also includes a Martin OM kit, if anyone is interested... http://www.aurw79.dsl.pipex.com/guitar/index.htm

(Also, in the first photo, it looks as if the pickup rings and tailpiece are not square - after seeing this photo, I double checked and they *are* square, but it's just an optical illusion in this photo, probably due to the sloping bridge - I must take some more !!!).

Cheers,

I was looking at the pickup rings and saying the same thing to myself - Im glad they are sq, that would have been upsetting if they werent!
Nice guitar - you must be very proud!

the optical illusion hit me also. glad it wasn't only my decrepit grey matter malfunctioning.

now that my eyeballs have been reassured that they are not too closely following the grey matter into incipient decrepitude, i can sit back and appreciate what i'm looking at, and like the clean, minimalist approach you took. sometimes simple really is better.

given the adjustability of the saddles in the bridge, why did you elect to install it on a slope instead of the conventional fashion?

That is very clean and nice. I have never been interested in electric much,
but I really like the look of that one.
Well done
