Just thought I would let everyone know in about 6 months of less I will donate a new set of plans to forum library of plans. this will be for what I will call a MJ (medium jumbo), a 20 body 4 5/8 deep, 12" upper bout, 9 3/8 waist, 16 1/4" lower bout for a 25.4" scale. This will be very curvy shape

The plans are drawn but the reason for the delay is I am currently building the first one at present and would like to proof both the guitar and plans before I donate the plans. I think this will be a real boomer for a medium size body length. The typical bad news is; like all my personal designs the body shape will likely require a custom case. I have sent Ameritage the specs and as son as they assign me a model designation for this case I will let every one know the number

Looks like a keeper Michael!
Is it meant for a 13 fret-to-body?

No but could be adapted by relocating x brace and such. It is actually designed around my standard 25.4" neck which spec wise in interchangeable with commercially available High End pre-carved CNC necks supplied by one of our fine sponsors and or pre-carved necks from the three major luthier supply houses. Each of us have our own ways of making necks and neck joints. Just like on my SJ and OM plans leave neck design up to the builder, therefore the X-brace, bridge patch sound hole location is shown based on 14 fret-25.4" scale. If you wish to make a 13 fret-25.4" or any other scale it is up to each builder to adapt. It just boils down to one of those things President Lincon spoke of. (You know! something about all the people all the time)

I have received several emails from individuals interested in my OM and SJ plans, asking if they could get them cheaper or quicker directly from me personally.

I do not sell these plans directly. Nor do I make a dime off the forum from the sale of these plans. I donate these plans free of any charge to the forum solely to aid the forum financially and to provide a variety of plans other than the commercially available plans.

So if Lance is out of Stock. Please do not contact me for direct purchase of the plans. Lance tries to stay in stock the best he can but only has about a year of history to base required stock on and it is hard to determine a in stock need because order tend to come in unexpected waves. I am sure this issue will get better with time, so be patient with Lance. you will get your plans.

I am more than happy to answer question related to the plans so feel free to contact me in regards to technical issues. But once again. I do not sell the plans.

This post couldn't have been more timely for me.  I have been trying to get some SJ plans for a little over a month now and haven't had much luck in getting them.  I had no idea that this is how Lance/OLF gets the plans.  That explains the delay.  I'm glad to hear that someone is donating these to help support the costs involved in running the boards. Thanks!

Oh, and no I wasn't one of the people trying to go bypass OLF to get the plans!  I know some of you were thinking that hehe!

I donate to Lance a reproducible file that he has copies printed from as he needs them. The delay happens because he has to order a minimum quantity order to get the price needed. So if he is out at the time of your order there may be a delay while he puts a new order together and the printer schedules, prints and delivers the order. It has bee hard for him to find the reorder point because often there will be no orders for months then all of a sudden he sold out. He working on getting things to run smother.

Thanks Michael,
You hit it right on the head.
We have been working with a new printer, and we are going to be trying something different. Instead of stocking ahead of time, we are hoping to work with this printer to do fulfilment. So, in other words, the order comes in, it goes directly to the printer and they have X amount of time to produce and ship. Its not altogether figured out yet, but that is what were working toward. As for the current delay in SJ plans, Brock has shipped them all, it was over the postage change period, and he thinks that this may have had some effect. David, you and two others have not gotten them. Brock has yet to get them back with postage due. Anyways, We are hoping to get the last few folks awaiting there plans as quickly as possible.

Lance

John, I think you need to flush your temp internet files.
It works fine for me, and everyone else that has ordered via the OLF Library.
