I just finished this one...Braz. with paua abalone.
I liked Steve Kinnaireds rosette so much I asked his permission to do a similar one.The next one I think I'll use teflon strips or maybe CA. This was a little difficult using titebond. Thanks Steve !

Dave, I personally think that the abalone looks a whole lot better than teflon strips would

Really Steve ? I was going to use a sound port on the side. I thought that would be enough! I'm not really a fan of those enlarged sound holes. But then again ,it would be hard to see my label!

Yeah, I hear ya Dave. Those big gaping maws DO let in a lot of dust and who knows what else.

But on a design note, if you stay with the 1/4" sound hole, in the future scale your rings down to 1/2" inner diameter....

No, don't. That would be the perfect place to add your logo. I mean, it does give you more room than the peghead does. You might even want to plug the sound hole as part of the design.
